I’m gonna go make a table, and if I get a job as an actor, then great. If I don’t, I’ll have a kickass table.

I don’t know if you get involved at this micro level, but was it hard to find dog trainers for this episode?
Of course I do. That stunt in particular, the animal wranglers who did that, they assured us it could happen. And it happened in one take. It was the easiest. I was prepared to be there for the night and it was the last night of shooting, and we went down to this location that we made look like the parking lot of this Holiday Inn. It was incredible to me — these dogs have been waiting for that moment their whole lives. We got what we needed, they got their treat, it was over.
I tried to find the least spoilery thing from the new york times interview, which you can read the rest here. That one deals specifically with the finale, but they also have a previous interview that deals with the previous 12 episodes that you can read here.
Alan’s interview, deals a lot more with the overall themes of season 5, and a lot of the cultural stuff, which makes for an interesting read.
And the slate interview deals with more of the relationships of the season and how they’re affected.
Over at the AV Club, they present a compelling argument on how SCDP is a monster devouring it’s denizens, which reminds me of that scrubs episode (my monster) where JD can’t get it going with Chuck’s sister Ellie (AKA gift shop girl).

The AV Club has this great series called The Walkthrough, where they interview the creator of a particular show and have them go through the entire season, episode by episode. You get to see the a lot of the thought process that goes into the show, and maybe get some clarifications on plot points, and they explain why they did somethings the way they did.

Reblogged to add Homeland’s walkthrough.
Homeland - Season 1 - (with Alex Gansa)
That was the part of the season where people were like, “Oh my God, what’s going to happen next? What are the writers going to do next? I’m worried. Can they sustain the show? Are they telling the story too fast? How are they going to keep this going?” And, interestingly enough, that’s what people are saying at the end of the first season, too: “Well, where can they go from here? How can they move on from here?” One of the things that I learned from Howard on 24 in terms of plotting out these thrillers is that if you sit in a room long enough with smart people, there is a way the story can be told compellingly.

I love this review so much I want to marry it like that lady who married the Eiffel tower.
I rewatched the first season of How I met Your Mother, and realized it had a rougher first season than I remembered, but there were still some gems there. While the second season, is pretty much all gold.
I’ll probably still continue with the show because I like the chemistry between the 2 actresses a lot.
And the theme song.
I like the theme song more than some of their episodes.
